What is consignment?
Consignment means we are selling Furniture and Accessories on behalf of the owner. The owner retains ownership of their Furniture and Accessories while we simply display their items on our sales floor.
How do I consign my Furniture and/or Accessories?
Small accessory items can be dropped off at any time during store hours. See a sales associate and they will assist you in determining what items will be accepted for consignment. If we're busy, we may not have time to look at your things right away, but feel free to leave them with us and we'll go through them as soon as possible. After we've looked at your items, we will call you about any items we can't accept. You can either pick them up, or we can donate them to a charitable organization upon your request.
For furniture we ask that you either email a picture to email@example.com, or bring us a picture to see in person. A tentative price estimate may be determined based on the picture; however, a final price will be set once the piece is seen in person.
What kind of Furniture and Accessories do you accept?
We'll accept Furniture and Accessories that are 10 years old or newer. They must be in new or next-to-new condition, are not broken and be free of stains, odors, etc.
We accept lots of other types of furniture as well. Just ask a sales associate if you have any questions.
Is there anything you don't accept?
There are a few things we don't or can't accept for consignment:
If you have any questions please ask a sales associate. We do our best to be accommodating, however some things are not a good fit for our clientele.
Can I consign antiques?
Typically, antiques do not sell well at our store. If an antique is in exceptionally good condition, it may be considered for consignment at the discretion of the management.
How do I get my furniture to your store?
You are responsible for transporting Furniture and Accessories to and from our store. You are also responsible for unloading your Furniture when it arrives. Store employees are unable to help. We can provide names and phone numbers for movers we recommend:
They will work with you on a time to move, and a price for transportation. One advantage to using these movers is they have a key to the store and are able to move during times we're closed.
If you wish to use your own help, please feel free to do so. We appreciate a call in advance to let us know when your furniture is arriving. That way we can know where we want to put it, make sure to make some room to put it.
